In a very deep conversation with a friend the other night about the meaning of life and all that jazz, I made a small boo boo…
Her: “Yeah, but say we were in a relationship or something”
Me: “Ok. Hypothetically, we’re in a relationship”
Her: “And something terrible happened to me, and I died. Where does that leave you!?”
<beat>
Me: “Single again?”

It’s not that you need to think before you speak necessarily but you need to mean what you think before you speak it.
…i don’t really see the problem here.
Lul, I read this and said out loud, “Yep. that’s definitely Josh.” You’re just… you, I don’t have a good word to describe what I’m trying to say but what you said reflects how you think. Why say what you think you SHOULD say instead of what you actually think.
Also I am not afraid to admit I don’t know you well enough to say that I’m completely right, but I’d like to think I know you enough for what I said to be pretty true.
