America. Or Why Letters Are The Best Ever.

America is an amazing place. As much as a deviation as this is from my traditional cynic views, It’s true. You can tell what kind of place America is by walking into any Post Office in the United States. The Post Office. It’s an amazing concept. You pay a mere .34 cents to have a letter delivered to anyone in our great country. Even if they live in Alaska. ALASKA! I feel like I should be sending letters to Alaska on the sheer premise that it’s an unbelievable value. Alas, I know no one in Alaska. However, for .34 cents it might be worthwhile to make some friends that are not that close to me. I know getting a letter makes me feel really special (because it’s rare that Joshua Ziering gets one instead of Steven Tenlo).

Even with fax, and email, and FedEx, and UPS, letters win in two categories:

1) You can’t smell an email.

2) Letters can’t be mail bombs.
